Host property Sawgrass Golf Resort and Spa has just emerged from a multi-million dollar transformation and is a proud recipient of the Florida Green Lodging designation. This designation is awarded by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to properties that implement and sustain best practices in their environmental and conservation efforts.
Florida Encounter actively supports green meetings with the inclusion of environmentally conscious practices such as the purchase of carbon offsets, active use of recycle bins throughout the program and donation of surplus food from meal functions to a local food bank.
