A "Turn Back Time"-themed event for FSAE |
St. Augustine/Ponte Vedra Hosts FSAE
This July, The Florida Society of Association Executives (FSAE) arrived at the Sawgrass Marriott in North Florida's Ponte Vedra Beach. This year's annual conference also commemorated the organization's 50th anniversary, and the theme was "Connecting. Learning. Leading." Approximately 350 members, including meeting planners from some of Florida's largest associations, were in attendance. The Sawgrass Marriott served as the host hotel for the conference and learning sessions, where attendees could hone their leadership skills among 56,000 square feet of meeting space and admire the results of a recent property-wide renovation. Completed in March of 2008, an extensive $16-million transformation of the resort's 612 guest rooms, 24 suites and 80 villa suites was completed. Also included in the renovation were the lobby area and the addition of a new Irish pub and a 25,000 square foot spa.

attendee transportation to the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village for a "Turn Back Time"-themed event, complete with music from the '60s and '70s, go-go dancers and flower-power decor. Guests enjoyed a retro-groovy vibe in recognition of FSAE's 50th anniversary, sponsored by Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village, Marriott & Renaissance Hotels of Florida, Destination Planning Corporation and Sight & Sound Audiovisual.
